The North & South Forks of the Kern Wild & Scenic River are located within a four-hour drive of more than one-third of the population of southern California. Flowing from Mt. Whitney in the Southern Sierra Mountains, the Kern River flows through rugged deep forested canyons with many flowing creeks & has Class I - Class V whitewater.
