Our mission is share our knowledge and expertise with Scouts and Trip Leaders to help them learn about whitewater and kayaking through hands-on instruction and training. We aim to offer high-quality, educational and fun training where the Scouts and leaders leave us with new skills and memories of a great day on the river.

Our Whitewater and Kayaking merit badge classes are a combination of classroom-style instruction and hands-on training. Our guides are thorough, organized and take time to explain, teach and demonstrate material and requirements. We listen closely to Scouts and Adult Leaders and work hard to ensure students have a productive and educational fun day. We keep class sizes small so students may ask questions and feel comfortable knowing a certified guide is available to assist them during their entire class. We pace our classes to be fun and interesting where each student has time to learn, practice and apply the material and requirements.

For students who want to go beyond Whitewater and Kayaking merit badges and high adventure trips to learn river trip planning, we offer customized training for Scout and Adult Leaders who are interested in planning a specific river trip. We will consult with Adult Leaders to help plan and execute river trips from start to finish. We offer customized in-person, phone consultation and webinar training that is paced around the students' skills and river running experience. Customized training is complete with training materials for almost any river trip Adult Leaders may think up to run a unique and memorable river adventure.

With formal training in river and whitewater navigation and risk management, our river guides are informative, knowledgeable, supportive and State Licensed and First Aid & CPR and BSA merit badge certified. Take a class with our river guides and you will find that our team is friendly, personable, fun-loving and passionate about rivers and the outdoors.

For Merit Badge and High Adventure training, we drive Provo and Kern River students to the river put-ins and we pick you up at the river take-out and assure students get back to their vehicles. No youth student is left without adult supervision at any time during our classes.

PRT's Merit Badge and High Adventure classes are small so each student has opportunities to learn and apply river navigation and paddling techniques, safety drills and much more. Our class itinerary is detailed and comprehensive offering a productive, educational and fun time on the river. We have been offering these classes for 10 years and through feedback and reviews from past students helping us perfect these classes, we are confident we offer the top training of any outfitter on the Provo or Kern Rivers.
